THE WORK SHALL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE NASA APPROVED LIST OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES (ADS) AND SERVICE BULLETINS (SBS) AND WITH THE FAA APPROVED SOFIA-BOEING MAINTENANCE PLAN. THE 747 SHALL BE REFURBISHED TO COMPLY WITH NASA AIRWORTHINESS FOR PUBLIC USE WHICH ARE EQUIVALENT TO FAA CERTIFICATION STANDARDS, FAR PART 25. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NASA APPROVED MAINTENANCE PLAN TO SUPPORT THE AIRCRAFT FOR A EXPECTED SERVICE LIFE OF TWENTY YEARS. PRIOR TO NASA FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF THE FULLY OPERATIONAL AIRCRAFT SYSTEM, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONDUCT AN INSPECTION PROGRAM IN ACCORDANCE WITH NASA, FAA AND AIRCRAFT INDUSTRY STANDARDS FOR MAJOR MAINTENANCE/OVERHAUL OF PASSENGER AIRCRAFT, INCLUDING, APPLICABLE REQUIREMENTS OF AGING FLEET AIRCRAFT. THE SUPPLIER SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL REQUIREMENTS IN THE SOFIA CAVITY DOOR DRIVE SYSTEM, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS, DOCUMENT NUMBER USRA-DAL-1163-00 (LATEST REVISION) THE SUPPLIER SHALL FURNISH ALL LABOR, MATERIALS, TOOLS AND PERFORM ALL OPERATIONS NECESSARY FOR THE ENGINEERING, DETAILING, FABRICATION, INSPECTION, TESTING, VALIDATION, DOCUMENTATION AND DELIVERY OF THE UPPER RIGID DOOR (URD) AND APERTURE ASSEMBLY (AA)/LOWER FLEXIBLE DOOR (LFD) ACTUATOR UNITS AND CONTROL UNIT.
